This is nationally recognised pre-university level course equivalent to Australian Year 12 or Foundation Program (pre-university), requiring 2 semesters of full-time study. It is designed to prepare students for university level study in the areas of Law, Business, Information Technology, Communication, Health Science and Nursing. Students will complete 4 units in each semester over 8 months. Progression to the Diploma program requires passes in all 8 units. Nursing students must complete the Certificate IV component in no more than 3 semesters.
70 % Jump Rule This foundation has a 70% jump rule for KCSE and A level students undertaking the program. This means if a student maintains an average of 70% in their first semester of four units, students can jump to the First year (equivalent to first year of university in Australia). This Jump Rule is NOT applicable to Nursing or Law. |
