 IELTS Test Centre – AUSI Nairobi (KE035) IELTS is the International English Language Testing System. It measures ability to communicate in English across all four language skills – listening, reading, writing and speaking – for people who intend to study or work where English is the language of communication.
AUSI will be conducting the IELTS test three (3) times per month. Each month candidates will be able to select from 3 offerings of the Academic test and 2 offering of the General Training test.

Universities and other institutions of further and higher education in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Europe, Ireland and Canada all recongnise and use IELTS scores. The format of the IELTS test Total Test Time: 2 hours 45 minutes The Exam: The first three modules - Listening, Reading and Writing - must be completed in one day. The Speaking Module may be taken, at the discretion of the test centre, in the period seven days before or after the other Modules. The tests are designed to cover the full range of ability from non-user to expert user. The website provides a wide range of information to assist candidates in making the correct choice. IELTS Test Results All IELTS test results are released 13 days after the test date. All candidates must arrange to collect their Test Report Form from the AUSI IELTS testing centre personally.
Candidates may specify an authorised person (other than themselves) to pick up their TRF on their behalf. This must be completed at time of application and/or registration only.
All candidates will receive one original Test Report Form (TRF) and may have additional TRF sent to designated educational, immigration or other certified centres. Overseas posting will require additional payment from the candidate. Special Needs Candidates with visual, hearing and specific learning difficulties can be given special concessions and/or support providing that official medical documentation is presented on application to sit an IELTS test. All application forms must be submitted to the IELTS testing centre (AUSI, Nairobi) with the following documentation: - 2 coloured passport size photographs with a white background - Colour copies of BOTH National ID and Passport Registration will only occur once fee payment and all documentation have been submitted. Each candidate will be issued with a test acknowledgement slip which will confirm the test dates and candidate requirements.
Candidates registering through an agent must liaise directly with the agent regarding test dates and requirements. The AUSI IELTS testing centre will not be responsible for misinformation or miscommunications when candidates deal with an agent.
All candidates must seek advice from consulate or embassy officials regarding the type of IELTS test required for either immigration, education or other purposes. Both Academic and General Training tests are conducted at the AUSI IELTS testing centre. IELTS Test fee KES 15 000 Practice Material IELTS official practice material is available at AUSI (Level 5). The Practice material includes examples and exercises in Listening, Reading Writing and Speaking.
